Lyle and Scott was founded in 1874 in the small Scottish Borders town of Hawick. Originally known for their high quality knitwear, Lyle & Scott became famous for its golden eagle logo which was prevalent on golfers and celebrities in the 70s and 80s. The 80s saw the Lyle & Scott golden eagle become a popular choice of the football “casual” culture. In 2004 Lyle & Scott re-launched the golden eagle giving birth to the Lyle & Scott Vintage range. Today, the collection draws heavily on subculture, indie and modernist principles. The Lyle & Scott vintage range is as bold as it is confident with its slim fit and edgy aesthetics, the golden eagle is often seen adorning the chests of celebs from the world of music, sport and TV.
