Leon Claude Duhamel changed the fashion industry after K-way was born in 1965. After successfully producing waterproof and wind stop garments, the brand began to sponsor many skiing teams during the 1970’s. The brand was then bought by the Milanese Multimoda Network in Italy and K-way stopped production shortly afterwards.
However, K-way 2.0 was created after BasicNet from Turin relaunched the brand in 2004. Since then the brand has opened their flagship store in Italy, Turin, co-Branding with Marc Jacobs and opened stores all over the world including the US, UK, Taiwan, Russia and South Korea. Shmooz hold a number of the classic pieces from K-way, including the Le Vrai 3.0 Claude and Le Vrai 3.0 Leon anoraks as well as the packable Le Vrai 3.0 Edouard Tees.
