Hunter is well known for it iconic Original boot which holds two Royal Warrants of Appointment to HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Hunter is a growing British heritage brand that was founded back in 1856 but continues to innovate and build designs that shield pioneers from the elements and bleakest landscapes.
In 2013 Hunter appointed the new Creative Director Alasdhair Willis who created two new brand categories, Hunter Original and Hunter Field. Hunter Original was shown on the catwalk at London Fashion Week which showcased new footwear, outerwear and accessories which complemented the Original Boot
Hunter Field collection that has a technical design for outdoor use in both rural and urban environments. It has been built using the philosophy of protection, intelligence and craftsmanship.
Hunter was originally named The North British Rubber Company which was founded in the mid 1870s by Henry Lee Norris from America. During World War I was when the company started to grow as the War Office commissioned sturdy rubber boots for the soldiers in the trenches, they produced over 1 million boots during this period.
